The Shadow Force was a group of artificially-enhanced super-beings, created by a renegade general named Macauley Sharpe. Sharpe’s idea was create designer super-heroes, using fragmentary records from Captain America’s Super Soldier Serum, the cosmic ray incident that created the Fantastic Four, and the gamma bomb explosion explosion that formed the Incredible Hulk. Sharpe’s Shadow Force captured Spider-Man for use in their experiment and Flash called in X-Factor to investigate and find him. Only now, one of the Shadow Force wants to kill Flash!
